Vacation: Big Bend National Park

Sometimes, when we have a 3 day weekend, we turn it into a 4 day weekend and take a trip. Robert and I decided it would be a fun idea to travel down to Big Bend National Park since neither of us had traveled there before. Once we got there, we realized it may the the most beautiful scenery in Texas! The landscape quickly turned from flat to these gorgeous orange mountains. We stayed in a little AirBnB and made a fire before we watched the sunset. The night sky was completely filled with stars. We even saw the milky way! This is when we decided that Big Bend was going to be the location for our wedding. As cheesy as this sounds, we couldn’t help but dance under the stars. In the morning, we loaded up on coffee and explored the park! We saw a couple of bears on the way in! Although I couldn’t get a decent photo before they ran into the wooded area, I did get one where you can see the bears paw! Totally terrifying! If you ever go, you’ll have to stop to see the Santa Elena Canyon! Gosh, it made me feel so small! The whole place was gorgeous at every turn.
