Engagement Session: Summer + Ryan

When Taylor reached out to me to shoot family photos, I was thrilled! Taylor and I go way back - all the way back to selling Girl Scout cookies at Blockbuster!! About two weeks before the session, she calls and asks if it’s okay if her brother, Ryan, proposed to his girlfriend, Summer. Y’all, I was shocked! I squealed in excitement, “OF COURSE THAT’S OKAY!!” Because the session was two weeks away, I had to keep my cool. I couldn’t spoil the surprise. When we were all at Prairie Creek Park, we needed to find the perfect spot! We took family photos for the first 30 minutes or so before we found it. Ryan was thinking by the waterfall, but he wanted to see what it would look like before he proposed. This was particularly tricky to pull off. Luckily, Taylor was able to distract Summer long enough for me to show Ryan a few of the “test” photos! He liked it and gave me the nod. Summer had no idea it was coming and her reaction was perfect. I loved her sweet response! She was in total awe! After, we took a few photos of the newly engaged cuddled in a blanket and on the covered bridge. If anyone else needs family photos and want to pop the question, I’m all for it!
